Sarah Huson is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, where she studied the 'cello with Melissa Phelps. During her time at the RCM Sarah was principal 'cellist of the RCM Sinfonietta, Symphony Orchestra and String Ensemble.
In 1994. whilst a pupil at Southwell Minster School, Sarah joined the Nottingham Youth Orchestra, and in 1995 was the youngest member on tour to America and Canada. Sarah became principal 'cellist in 1998 and played on tours to Edinburgh, Cyprus and Austria. In 1998, Sarah performed the Saint-Saens 'Cello Concerto with NYO in Hungary and Austria and was invited back in 2001 to play the Dohnanyi Concerto in Southwell Minster.
Sarah is currently freelancing; she has played with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the London Concert Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She is the co-ordinator of the Highly Strung String Quartet who perform in the Midlands and London.
She has played with Will Young on numerous TV shows, including Top of the Pops, T4, Graham Norton and Richard and Judy. She also performed alongside Rod Stewart on the National Lottery.
